Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, accompanied by his family and his son’s fiancée Saaniya Chandhok’s family, visited Rashtrapati Bhavan to extend a formal wedding invitation to President Droupadi Murmu. The wedding of Sachin’s son, Arjun Tendulkar, is set for early March.
Sachin Tendulkar also met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah during his visit to Delhi. He shared pictures with both leaders on social media.
Arjun Tendulkar, a promising cricketer like his father, is all set to marry Saaniya Chandhok, a successful entrepreneur and veterinary technician. The wedding celebrations are scheduled to commence on March 3, with a private ceremony on March 5, attended only by close friends and family.
The engagement of Arjun and Saaniya, held last August, was a private affair with limited guests. Saaniya Chandhok, the granddaughter of Mumbai businessman Ravi Ghai, brings a notable business background to the union.
Arjun Tendulkar has been making his mark in cricket, showcasing his skills as a fast bowler and lower-order batsman. His cricket journey includes a century on his Ranji Trophy debut for Goa in 2022 and participation in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with the Mumbai Indians.
Despite missing the 2021 IPL season due to injury, Arjun returned in 2022 and was retained for the 2024 season after a successful debut. He was later traded to the Lucknow Super Giants ahead of the 2026 season.
