Amid controversy surrounding a viral video allegedly involving Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia criticized Mann, labeling him a “liar” and “alcoholic.” Majithia questioned the authenticity of a forensic report linked to the video, claiming it was fabricated.
Majithia accused the Chief Minister of shameful behavior, citing claims made by Mann’s own children. He also referenced allegations of Mann being intoxicated inside the Punjab Assembly, stating that accompanying MLAs had complained about his alcohol consumption.
The SAD leader further alleged that Mann had visited a religious site after consuming alcohol, with similar accusations made by his family and associates. Majithia condemned Mann for purportedly disrespecting the Sikh Gurus by splashing liquor on their portraits.
Questioning Mann’s actions, Majithia criticized the Chief Minister for allegedly challenging the authority of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. He highlighted that the video depicting disrespect towards Sikh Gurus was provided by Mann’s friend, Jagman Samra, leading to scrutiny by the Akal Takht Jathedar.
Refuting Mann’s claim that the video was AI-generated, Majithia revealed that the Akal Takht had requested verification from three laboratories, which Mann allegedly failed to provide. The SAD leader supported the Akal Takht’s decision to declare Mann as ‘Guru Dokhi,’ emphasizing the importance of respecting religious sentiments.
