Expressing gratitude for the wild card, the 25-year-old stated, “Playing a WTA event at home is always truly special and it means a lot to me. I am going to try and play my heart out in every match and give my 100%.” She aims to exhibit growth as a player and gain confidence during the season.
Looking to improve her performance from the previous year’s Mumbai Open, where she was eliminated in the Round of 32, Sahaja Yamalapalli emphasized enhancements in her game, particularly in her serve. She has focused on tactical discipline, consistency under pressure, and strategic aggression. The player is eager to demonstrate her progress in the upcoming L&T Mumbai Open.
