Bollywood star Salman Khan recently organized a private screening for his upcoming film, ‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace,’ attended by close friends and industry seniors. The event included notable personalities like Sooraj Barjatya, David Dhawan, Kabir Khan, Rumi Jafry, Riteish Deshmukh, Chitrangada Singh, and others. Veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai shared a group photo from the evening, capturing the essence of the gathering.

In the shared picture, Salman Khan sported an all-black attire, while Chitrangada Singh looked elegant in white. Subhash Ghai, along with other directors like Sooraj Barjatya, Riteish Deshmukh, David Dhawan, Kabir Khan, Rumi Jafry, and Siddharth Roy Kapur, featured prominently in the frame. The occasion was marked by a special viewing of a rough cut of Apoorva Lakhia’s film ‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace.’

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film, previously named ‘Battle of Galwan,’ is said to be inspired by the clash at Galwan Valley between Indian and Chinese troops. While the movie was initially set for an April 2026 release, subsequent reports indicated delays due to alterations, including a title change. An official release date is yet to be confirmed by the filmmakers.

Salman Khan has been actively engaged in promoting the film and its music, sharing tracks and promotional content on his social media platforms. His camaraderie with the esteemed filmmakers at the private screening reflects his close relationships with them. Notably, Salman Khan has collaborated with directors like Sooraj Barjatya, Kabir Khan, and David Dhawan on various successful projects in the past.
