Samajwadi Party MLA Ravidas Mehrotra has questioned the circumstances surrounding the death of Prateek Yadav, the younger son of party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav. Mehrotra has called for a thorough investigation and swift release of the post-mortem report, despite initial indications suggesting a natural cause of death.
Mehrotra highlighted suspicions surrounding the incident, emphasizing Prateek Yadav’s young age and the presence of bruises on his body. He urged for transparency through the release of the post-mortem report and a comprehensive inquiry into the matter.
The sudden demise of Prateek Yadav, who was the stepbrother of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and husband of BJP leader Aparna Yadav, has now taken on political undertones. Authorities in Lucknow reported that the exact cause of death is yet to be officially determined, with a post-mortem examination currently in progress.
MP Jitendra Kumar Dohare expressed deep sorrow over the loss, highlighting Prateek Yadav’s familial connections and his significant role within the political landscape. Recognized internationally for his fitness journey, Prateek Yadav garnered attention in 2012 as the “International Transformation of the Month” on a renowned bodybuilding platform. He attributed his dedication to fitness to his father’s encouragement and was known for sharing workout updates on social media.
In 2011, Prateek Yadav tied the knot with Aparna Yadav after an eight-year courtship. Their wedding ceremony was attended by distinguished figures from politics, business, and entertainment circles. The couple later welcomed a daughter, marking a significant chapter in their personal life.
