With the Monsoon Session of Parliament starting off stormily, Samajwadi Party (SP) lawmakers took to the streets in New Delhi, marching from Parliament to Jantar Mantar. Led by Dimple Yadav, the SP delegation expressed solidarity with students and demanded accountability from the government regarding the recent NEET paper leaks.

Chanting slogans and waving banners like ‘Paper Leak’ and ‘NEET hai ya CHEAT hai’, the SP MPs criticized the government for the mismanagement of examinations. They accused the authorities of being indifferent to the concerns of students, highlighting the need for a more responsible approach.

Jantar Mantar has become a focal point for protests against the NEET paper leaks, with social activist Sonam Wangchuk staging a 20-day hunger strike before being removed by the police. The SP delegation, along with party workers and supporters, joined the chorus of voices demanding answers from top officials and the Education Minister regarding the paper leaks.

Speaking to the media, the SP lawmakers condemned the government for its failure to conduct fair examinations and for ignoring the grievances of protesting students. They emphasized the importance of dialogue and criticized the government for its lack of engagement with the youth, highlighting the mental stress faced by students due to the prevailing situation.

Other SP MPs raised concerns over various issues, including alleged donation theft at the Ram Temple, proposed actions against a UP University, and the issue of paper leaks. They called for accountability and transparency, accusing the government of malpractice and urging for a change in leadership.
