Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt became emotional on June 6 as he commemorated his father, the late actor and politician Sunil Dutt, on what would have been his 97th birthday. Sanjay took to social media to share rare black-and-white photos capturing precious moments with his father, expressing his ongoing sense of loss and admiration.
In a heartfelt note accompanying the pictures, Sanjay expressed, “Happy birthday dad, I love you and miss you everyday. You are and always be my pillar of strength and my inspiration.” The images depict a young Sanjay Dutt seated next to his father, showcasing the strong bond they shared.
Sunil Dutt, a revered figure in Indian cinema, kickstarted his acting career in the 1950s and delivered several successful films like ‘Mother India’, ‘Sujata’, ‘Mujhe Jeene Do’, ‘Waqt’, ‘Padosan’, ‘Gumraah’, and ‘Hamraaz.’ Apart from his cinematic achievements, he was known for his philanthropic endeavors and later ventured into politics, serving as a Member of Parliament and Union Minister.
