A tragic incident unfolded in Marasuru Madivala village near Bengaluru as a school student named Madhushree took her own life at her residence. The young girl, a student at Marasuru Government Higher Primary School, was found hanging in her room by family members on Thursday morning. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter following the discovery.
Madhushree left behind a handwritten note expressing emotional distress, citing an incident at school that caused her immense pain. She mentioned feeling unable to bear the humiliation and attributed her decision to take her life to this distress. The note also contained an apology to her family and a plea not to blame her mother for her actions.
Family members and relatives revealed that Madhushree had not shared her troubles at school with them despite facing alleged harassment by teachers. They described her as a talented student and a state-level Kabaddi and Kho Kho player. Allegations surfaced that the young girl had been subjected to ridicule by fellow students after a teacher accused her of giving nicknames to staff, leading to increased distress.
The family expressed disappointment over the lack of empathy shown by school officials and questioned whether the tragedy could have been averted with more understanding from the teachers. They highlighted that Madhushree had been facing difficulties at school for several months but had chosen to keep her struggles to herself. The family, already grappling with the loss of her father, now seeks answers and justice in the wake of this heartbreaking loss.
