Left-arm spinner Kirstie Gordon has been selected in Scotland’s 15-member squad for the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England. The team, placed in Group B, will kick off their campaign against Ireland on June 13 at Old Trafford. Gordon, who debuted for Scotland at 14 and later played for England, returned to the Scotland setup in December last year.
Scotland earned their spot in the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup through the Global Qualifier, securing a berth in the main tournament after finishing third in the Qualifier. Head coach Craig Wallace expressed excitement over Gordon’s return, citing her as one of the world-class players in the team who can elevate the standards and enhance Scottish cricket.
Captain Kathryn Bryce will lead the squad, which also includes players like Gabriella Fontenla, Pippa Sproul, and Maisie Maceira. Wallace praised the team’s depth and balance, emphasizing the tough selection process due to the growth and success of women’s cricket in Scotland. The team will also participate in a home tri-series before heading to England for the Women’s T20 World Cup.
