Scotland men’s head coach, Owen Dawkins, has finalized his coaching team and support staff for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in India. Dawkins, along with men’s assistant coach Gordon Drummond, appointed in December 2025, will be supported by Moneeb Iqbal, Paul Tweddle, and Zac Bess during the tournament.
Dr. Raj McRea-Routray, Gary Metcalfe, and Fiona Rae complete the backroom team, hastily assembled after Scotland’s recent invitation to compete in the tournament. Iqbal, a former Scotland international, will serve as the Spin Coach for the second consecutive Men’s T20 World Cup, following his involvement in the 2024 tournament.
Tweddle, Somerset’s fielding and assistant coach, brings a wealth of experience, having been part of the coaching team that led the county to T20 Blast success in 2023 and 2025. Bess, the strength and conditioning coach, currently with Nottinghamshire, has previous experience with Worcestershire and Trent Rockets in The Hundred.
