Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) coordinator Seeman criticized Tamil Nadu’s ruling DMK and the opposition AIADMK for engaging in a political spectacle of corruption allegations. Seeman expressed disappointment, stating that the parties were more focused on accusing each other rather than addressing genuine public issues.
Seeman commented on the AIADMK-PMK alliance, calling it a strategic move in the current political landscape. He emphasized NTK’s readiness for the upcoming Assembly elections, announcing plans to reveal candidates for all 234 constituencies on February 21.
Seeman also condemned what he termed as election-driven populism, particularly criticizing welfare announcements tied to the Pongal festival. He questioned the government’s sincerity in providing assistance during Pongal, labeling it as a mere election strategy.
Expressing concern over the rise of drug abuse in Tamil Nadu, Seeman questioned the government’s awareness of the growing drug culture. He challenged the DMK’s stance against drugs, highlighting the state’s involvement in promoting alcohol sales.
Seeman raised alarm over the declining enrollment in government schools, accusing the government of prioritizing liquor sales over public education. He emphasized the need for a shift towards governance based on ethics, education, and social responsibility to combat the prevailing political theatrics.
