Senior Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader Bikram Keshari Arukha dismissed rumors of his departure from the party. In a video message, Arukha reaffirmed his commitment to working under the leadership of BJD president Naveen Patnaik. He emphasized his longstanding association with the party and praised Patnaik as his favorite leader.
Arukha clarified that recent speculations about him joining another party were unfounded. He highlighted his dedication to the BJD since its establishment and refuted claims of any intentions to leave. The leader’s absence from a few Political Affairs Committee meetings led to erroneous assumptions of his discontent.
Addressing concerns over his alleged shift to the ruling BJP, Arukha reiterated his loyalty to the BJD. The party has witnessed the resignation of several senior members following its defeat in the 2024 Assembly elections. Arukha, a six-time MLA, has held significant ministerial roles in the BJD government under Patnaik’s leadership.
