Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member Sanjay Tandon has criticized Chandigarh MP Manish Tewari for failing to fulfill promises made during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Tandon accused Tewari of misleading the public with unkept commitments and termed his two-year tenure as marked by non-performance.
Tandon highlighted that despite Tewari’s campaign promises, including financial aid for women from poor families, many pledges remain unfulfilled. He emphasized that these assurances were more about securing votes than actual implementation, leading to disappointment among constituents.
The BJP leader reiterated his call for Tewari’s resignation, citing the MP’s inability to deliver on major electoral promises. Tandon pointed out various unmet commitments, such as free water and electricity quotas, governance reforms, and educational enhancements, which have seen limited progress under Tewari’s leadership.
