Senior BJP MLA Ranoj Pegu expressed confidence that the BJP-led NDA government in Assam would continue striving to meet the expectations of the populace. Pegu highlighted the successful delivery of most promises during the alliance’s previous term, emphasizing their commitment to the state’s development.
Speaking after the swearing-in ceremony of the new Assam government, Pegu lauded the event as a moment of immense pride for the state. He noted the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and dignitaries from various states, underscoring the NDA government’s third consecutive term in Assam.
Pegu attributed the substantial public endorsement of the NDA to the trust in Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and the BJP’s leadership. He reiterated the government’s dedication to fulfilling past commitments and focusing on ongoing developmental and welfare projects across Assam.
The senior BJP leader recalled the party’s successful implementation of numerous promises in the past and expressed confidence in their continued efforts to address the aspirations of the people. Pegu, a former Education Minister, played a prominent role in the previous government led by Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The oath-taking ceremony witnessed a significant gathering of BJP supporters and party members, marking the commencement of the third consecutive NDA government in Assam. Himanta Biswa Sarma, sworn in as Chief Minister for a second term, along with four other ministers, amidst tight security arrangements in Guwahati.
