A strong all-round performance by Servotech Siliguri Strikers led them to a commanding 61-run victory over Novus Royals Purulia in the men’s competition of Bengal T20 League Season 3 at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens. Siliguri Strikers set a challenging target of 173/6 in 20 overs, propelled by Snehashish Saha’s quickfire 68 off 35 balls and Karan Lal’s steady 44 off 41 deliveries. Novus Royals Purulia’s bowlers Pritam Chakraborty and Mithilesh Das managed to take two wickets each.
Novus Royals Purulia struggled in their chase, eventually getting bowled out for 112 in 16.4 overs, falling significantly short of the target. The Siliguri bowlers were exceptional, with Vishal Bhati and Akhilesh Yadav both taking three wickets each. Shivamm Bharati contributed with 2 wickets, while Karan Lal and Kaushik Maity claimed one wicket each, sealing a comprehensive win for the Strikers.
The Bengal T20 League, organized by the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), is a franchise-based T20 cricket tournament now in its third season. The league comprises eight city-based franchises, including Servotech Siliguri Strikers and Novus Royals Purulia, competing in both men’s and women’s categories. Men’s matches are held at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, while women’s matches take place at the JU Salt Lake Campus, Kolkata.
