Acclaimed singer Shaan discussed the unequal treatment of female singers in the music industry. He noted a growing trend where male singers receive more lines and importance than their female counterparts. Shaan recalled a time when both genders were on equal footing in duets, emphasizing the shift in dynamics over the years.

Recently, female artists, including Shreya Ghoshal, have expressed concerns about the underrepresentation of women in Indian music. Ghoshal emphasized the importance of female songwriters to better reflect women’s perspectives in the industry.

Shaan also addressed Arijit Singh’s surprising decision to retire from playback singing. He urged patience, suggesting that Singh would reveal his reasons for stepping back at the right time. Shaan advised against speculating on Singh’s decision, emphasizing the need to focus on other pressing issues until more clarity is provided.
