The ‘Shabdotsav 2026’ cultural and literary festival, celebrating ‘Bharat Abhyudaya’, has begun at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium in New Delhi. The event was inaugurated with the lighting of a lamp in the presence of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Cabinet Minister Kapil Mishra, Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra, and other dignitaries.
This festival aims to highlight India’s cultural, literary, and ideological heritage, featuring numerous thinkers, speakers, and ideologues sharing their perspectives over the three-day event. Organized by Suruchi Prakashan in collaboration with Hindi Academy, the festival will host over 100 authors, filmmakers, thinkers, cultural performances, youth events, book discussions, and Bharat-inspired cuisine.
Notable speakers at the event include National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, RSS’ Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar, and Manmohan Vaidya. Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra emphasized the festival’s significance in promoting national unity, mentioning iconic figures like Lord Nataraja, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Maharana Pratap Ji, and Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj.
The festival, scheduled from January 2 to 4, will witness the participation of students from nearly 40 universities across the Delhi-NCR region. Expectations include book releases, cultural programs such as Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Bhajan Sandhya, Kavi Sammelan, and Somnath Jyotirlinga Darshan. The event’s poster was unveiled by Delhi CM Rekha Gupta and her cabinet ministers, setting the stage for a unique convergence of literature, culture, and intellectual discourse.
