NCP-SP chief Sharad Pawar expressed concern over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, highlighting a significant decline in the examination system’s integrity. The National Testing Agency (NTA) took the decision to cancel the NEET-UG 2026 exam due to reported irregularities.
Pawar criticized the Central government for failing to implement necessary precautions despite past instances of paper leaks. He emphasized the gravity of the situation, noting the impact on the futures of numerous students who rely on the NEET exam for their careers.
Pointing out irregularities in the medical entrance exam across various states, including Maharashtra, Kerala, and Haryana, Pawar underscored the widespread deterioration of the examination system. He expressed concern over the uncertainty faced by students awaiting rescheduled exam dates.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) recently made two additional arrests in connection with the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, bringing the total arrests to seven individuals. The newly apprehended suspects, Dhananjay Lokhanda and Manisha Waghmare, were taken into custody during nationwide raids conducted by the CBI as part of the ongoing investigation into the alleged malpractice.
