Due to health concerns and medical advice, personal meetings are currently not feasible, prompting him to share his sentiments through a written message. The letter, shared on social media platform X by his grand nephew MLA Rohit Pawar, marks a significant moment following intense speculation about his re-election.
The decision for Sharad Pawar’s re-election came after deliberations within the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), solidifying his candidacy. With his consent, the application was submitted from his residence, reflecting his extensive political journey that commenced in 1967. Sharad Pawar emphasized the uninterrupted nature of his political career spanning over five decades, attributing it to the unwavering trust bestowed upon him by the public. He acknowledged his various roles, including Minister, Chief Minister, and Leader of the Opposition in Maharashtra, as well as his service at the Centre as the Union Defence and Agriculture Minister.
Expressing gratitude for another six-year term, Sharad Pawar recognized the citizens and allied parties for their support. Despite current restrictions on direct interactions due to medical advice, he affirmed his deep connection with Maharashtra, citing the state’s love, trust, and support as his sources of energy.
