All India Shia Personal Law Board spokesperson Maulana Yasoob Abbas advised All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen President Asaduddin Owaisi to refrain from meddling in Uttar Pradesh’s internal politics. Owaisi had made comments about the investigation into the embezzlement case related to Ayodhya’s Ram Temple donations during a rally in Bijnor.
Abbas emphasized the seriousness of the Ayodhya issue and stated that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the Special Investigation Team (SIT) were diligently examining the matter. He expressed that external interference was unnecessary in the ongoing investigations.
In response to Owaisi’s remarks, Abbas stressed the need for restraint and respect for the investigative process. Meanwhile, CM Adityanath has extended the deadline by 15 days for the SIT to complete its probe into the theft from the Ram Temple’s donation box.
The SIT’s extended timeline will allow for a thorough review of the temple administration, focusing on the staff involved in handling offerings and analyzing CCTV footage. Adityanath has assured that the investigation will be impartial, with accountability for any wrongdoing. He urged devotees to cooperate with the SIT and provide any relevant evidence.
