Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray criticized Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for allegedly creating political instability through a “rumour-manufacturing factory.” The party’s editorial in ‘Saamana’ condemned Fadnavis for maintaining the status quo in the NDA alliance, suggesting his compliance with central BJP leadership’s directives.
The editorial accused the BJP of spreading misinformation about the NCP(SP) considering joining the NDA. It labeled the BJP as a “rumour-manufacturing factory” with Fadnavis as its “Chairman,” alleging the party’s IT Cell orchestrates these tactics to divert attention from state issues.
Highlighting a series of false narratives linked to the NCP(SP), the editorial criticized the alleged tactics of the “Devendra Factory.” It clarified recent political meetings, emphasizing that interactions between leaders were focused on specific issues, not secret mergers or crossovers.
The editorial underscored a perceived decline in Maharashtra’s governance, attributing decisions to Delhi and accusing the BJP of using coercive tactics against opposition parties. It warned regional forces against aligning with the NDA, dismissing the feasibility of NCP(SP) joining while Ajit Pawar’s faction is already part of another alliance.
The Thackeray camp criticized the BJP’s national and local governance, citing corruption allegations and a purported decline in support for PM Modi and Amit Shah. It condemned Fadnavis for neglecting critical issues while focusing on political games, suggesting his frustration with being sidelined in decision-making.
