The Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray expressed that the alliance between Shiv Sena(UBT) and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) under Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray is anticipated to be groundbreaking and empowering for the Marathi Manoos. The reunion of the Thackeray brothers is seen as a positive sign for Maharashtra, aiming to defeat those seen as disloyal to the state.
In a statement in its publication, Saamana, the party emphasized that the unity of the Thackeray siblings poses a challenge to opponents who claim not to fear the united front, hinting at underlying concerns. The message conveyed through this partnership is crystal clear – a united stand against injustice and a commitment to fight for the rights of the Marathi people.
Following the formal reunion of the Thackeray cousins for the upcoming elections in Maharashtra, the Thackeray camp clarified that this collaboration is not merely a political transaction but a solemn promise to safeguard the interests of the Marathi community. Criticizing the Central government and the current state leadership, the Thackeray faction accused them of deliberately weakening the Marathi Manoos through power misuse.
The alliance also aims to thwart alleged schemes by external forces and affluent individuals to detach Mumbai from Maharashtra. It is highlighted that the Thackeray brothers have come together at a time when significant land areas have been taken over by associates of the “Shah company” from Panvel to Raigad and Alibaug.
According to the editorial, the Thackeray brothers have united with a spirit of sacrifice to defend Mumbai, amidst concerns over Maharashtra’s diminishing influence in national politics. The alliance between Shiv Sena(UBT) and MNS is portrayed as a response to historical apprehensions in Delhi about the courage and political acumen of the Marathi people.
