Shiv Sena has organized a three-day workshop for the 29 corporators elected to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The workshop, held at a five-star hotel in Mumbai, includes guidance from the party’s chief leader and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on BMC operations, the city’s development plan, election manifesto implementation, and a roadmap for the next five years. Yuva Sena General Secretary and corporator Amey Ghole shared this information.
Senior party leaders are expected to provide further guidance to the corporators over the next three days at the workshop venue. Deputy Chief Minister Shinde urged the corporators to start working immediately to uphold the trust placed in Shiv Sena by the people. Following the election results, Shiv Sena corporators promptly attended the guidance camp, as mentioned by Ghole.
During the workshop, Deputy Chief Minister Shinde will personally mentor the corporators, while senior party leaders will brief them on BMC procedures and offer advice on effective governance in their respective wards. Additionally, discussions will cover strategies and campaign plans for the upcoming Zilla Parishad elections. Ghole also noted that the Mayor of Mumbai will be from the Mahayuti alliance, with a decision to be made by senior leaders of allied parties.
Shiv Sena’s success in municipal corporation elections across the state, securing the election of 397 corporators, reflects the people’s confidence in the party and Deputy Chief Minister Shinde’s leadership, according to Ghole. The party issued a statement in response to media reports about relocating the 29 newly elected BMC corporators to a five-star hotel to prevent poaching, particularly ahead of the mayoral election. Despite already surpassing the halfway mark in the BMC with 89 BJP members and 29 Shiv Sena members out of 227, Shiv Sena is ensuring its members stay together as a precaution against any attempts to lure corporators.
