The Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray (UBT) expressed concerns that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has deviated from its original principles, accusing it of being involved in the BJP’s alleged corruption and unconstitutional activities. According to the party’s mouthpiece ‘Saamana,’ the editorial highlighted the perceived close relationship between the BJP and the RSS, suggesting that the Sangh is complicit in the BJP’s actions. The editorial also questioned the RSS’s claim of being apolitical and separate from the BJP, citing historical instances to support its argument.
The editorial further criticized the RSS for its alleged involvement in the BJP’s controversial decisions, such as the construction of a lavish office in Delhi at the expense of a historic temple. It accused the Sangh of being complicit in the BJP’s unethical practices and corruption due to their power-sharing arrangement. The Shiv Sena emphasized that the RSS and BJP cannot claim to be independent entities, denouncing the notion that they are separate organizations.
The Shiv Sena’s editorial pointed out the presence of prominent figures like Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor at an event organized by the RSS, suggesting a shift in celebrity participation possibly influenced by political considerations rather than ideological alignment. The party also criticized the BJP for its alleged divisive politics, accusing leaders of engaging in hate speech and discriminatory actions. Despite the efforts of volunteers supporting the BJP, the editorial claimed that key ideological objectives remain unmet, including the realization of certain nationalistic goals.
