Shiv Sena (UBT), under the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray, is set to initiate a statewide protest starting with a ‘Ram Raksha’ demonstration in Mumbai’s Dadar area. Thackeray accused the BJP of lacking accountability in managing donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, alleging misappropriation of funds and offerings. The protest, to be held near Dadar Kabutarkhana’s Hanuman Temple, will involve recitations of sacred verses by Thackeray and party members.
Thackeray, inviting the public regardless of political affiliations, emphasized the importance of standing against the alleged financial irregularities at the Ram Temple. The Shiv Sena (UBT) has faced recent challenges, including defections and the departure of key leaders, making this protest a significant event for the party. MP Sanjay Raut reiterated the party’s call for Ram devotees to join the protest in large numbers.
The protest is a response to the perceived lack of transparency in managing donations and offerings at the Ayodhya Ram Temple. Shiv Sena aims to hold the BJP and RSS accountable for the alleged mismanagement, urging supporters to participate in the demonstration for accountability and integrity.
