Shiv Sena-UBT leader Priyanka Chaturvedi criticized Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his recent “land jihad” comment. Adityanath, speaking at a religious event, referred to actions as ‘land jihad’ and emphasized the need to stop such activities. Chaturvedi questioned when Adityanath would fulfill the promises made to the people after a decade in power.
Chaturvedi highlighted the importance of development policies over divisive politics for the welfare of Uttar Pradesh residents. She urged Adityanath to provide an account of the state’s progress during his tenure. The leader expressed that the public’s trust in Adityanath hinges on his delivery of promises and developmental initiatives.
In response to Adityanath’s remarks, Chaturvedi emphasized that the citizens are becoming more aware and critical of such divisive narratives. She underscored the need for constructive governance rather than rhetoric that polarizes communities. Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav also criticized Adityanath’s comments, calling them inappropriate and urging for a focus on unity rather than divisive rhetoric.
