A woman in Bihar’s Begusarai district faced a horrific incident of alleged sexual assault and extreme brutality, leading to widespread condemnation. The assault, involving five men, occurred on June 11 within the Chakiya police station’s jurisdiction. The perpetrators forcibly took the woman to a secluded spot, where they gang-raped her, tied her up with her clothes, and inserted foreign objects into her private parts.
The victim was initially treated at a hospital on June 11 and discharged the next day. However, due to escalating pain, she was readmitted for further medical examination at Sadar Hospital five days later. Family members revealed that subsequent tests uncovered foreign objects inside her, which were later removed by doctors. Allegations have also been made against the local police for not responding adequately when the family first tried to file a complaint.
Begusarai police have launched a thorough investigation using scientific and forensic methods following the incident. The victim’s statement has been recorded, and specialized teams are working to apprehend the culprits. Continuous raids are being conducted to arrest the accused, with a warning of strict action against any negligent police personnel. Medical examinations are being overseen by a team of female doctors to ascertain the full extent of the case.
