Shrachi Bengal Tigers Captain Optimistic About Men’s Hockey India League

Shrachi Bengal Tigers captain Jugraj Singh is optimistic as the Men’s Hockey India League (HIL) 2026 enters its final leg. He praised the increasing fan support at venues and highlighted Odisha’s significant role in promoting hockey in India.

Jugraj expressed encouragement at the strong public backing for hockey across different cities, from Chennai to Ranchi. He mentioned that the stadium atmosphere motivates the teams to perform better in every match.

Acknowledging the team’s recent wins, Jugraj emphasized the need to maintain momentum. He stated that the focus is on improving conversion rates and enhancing performance in the attacking circle.

Jugraj commended Odisha for being the hub of major hockey tournaments in India, noting the excellent facilities, grounds, and passionate fans in the state. He also mentioned India’s recent success in international competitions like the Tokyo Olympics, Commonwealth Games, and Champions Trophy.

The captain highlighted the significance of the Hockey India League in preparing players for top-level international contests. He stressed that the league elevates standards and readies players to compete against the world’s best teams.

Jugraj concluded by thanking the fans for their unwavering support and expressed confidence in the team’s performance in the upcoming matches of the tournament.
