Tasked with defending 10 runs in the final over, Dubey’s crucial performance sealed the victory for Mumbai as Himachal Pradesh was bowled out for 292.
Iyer, leading the team due to Shardul Thakur’s injury, joined the crease when Mumbai was struggling at 55 for 2. He, along with Musheer Khan, added 82 runs off 54 balls, setting the stage for Mumbai’s total of 299/9 in 33 overs. Despite missing a century by 18 runs, Iyer’s aggressive innings included 10 fours and three sixes.
In response, Himachal Pradesh fell short of the 300-run target set by Mumbai, finishing at 292 in 32.4 overs. Pukhraj Mann and Ankush Bains showed resilience with scores of 64 and 53, respectively, but Mumbai’s bowlers, especially Shivam Dubey with 4 wickets, ensured the victory. Hyderabad, Punjab, Karnataka, and Gujarat also secured wins in the tournament.
