The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will convene a crucial meeting on July 6 to review the resignations of General Secretary Champat Rai and Trustee Anil Mishra. Additionally, the meeting will address the ongoing Special Investigation Team (SIT) inquiry into alleged irregularities concerning temple donations and the management of the Ram Mandir.
The Trust’s Treasurer, Swami Govind Dev Giri, has called for the meeting with the approval of Trust President Mahant Nritya Gopal Das. The agenda includes urgent matters necessitating immediate decisions, especially in the absence of Das, who is currently hospitalized.
Scheduled to commence at 3 p.m. on July 6 at Mani Ram Das Chhavni in Ayodhya Dham, Uttar Pradesh, the meeting will focus on various issues. These include evaluating the resignations, discussing the SIT’s interim report on donation box funds, planning for future temple management, and reviewing financial statements for the fiscal year 2025-26.
Members have been urged to attend the meeting to ensure its success. The Trust had previously received the resignations of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra on June 27, which can only be accepted with the support of a two-thirds majority as per the Trust deed. However, the outcome of the meeting regarding the resignations remains uncertain due to potential attendance issues.
