Singer Roop Kumar Rathod felt emotional while recalling memories from the 1997 movie “Border” at the launch of the revamped song “Jaate Hue Lamhon”. Rathod, who sang the original track, was joined by Vishal Mishra for the new version in “Border 2”. Reflecting on his experience with “Border”, Rathod shared, “I have been living the magic of Border for 27 long years.”
Addressing the audience, Rathod expressed his feelings through a shayari, stating, “Zarurato ka pahaad mujhe thakne nahi deta aur Border film aur uske gaane mujhe budha hone nahi dete.” He also mentioned missing O P Dutta, a part of the original production, reminiscing about the journey that started 27 years ago under J P Dutta’s leadership.
After revisiting old memories, Rathod concluded emotionally, “Jab tak bika na tha, koi puchta na tha, tumne khareed ke mujhe anmool kar dia. I am really indebted to “Border”. Suniel Shetty, present with his son Ahan Shetty at the launch, also became emotional, shedding tears as he discussed his son’s journey post his debut film “Tadap” in 2021.
Suniel expressed that “Border 2” is a significant opportunity for Ahan as his second project. He shared, “After his first film, there was a little break. You know, there’s always turmoil in our lives. Sab bolte hain ke Suniel Shetty ka beta hai kaam toh bahut hi milta hai…. But somewhere or the other, there’s a lot that Ahan went through in life.”
“I am happy that he got Border 2 as his second film. Usse badiya film nahi mil sakti. And I just pray that he has done justice and the film works for all of us,” Suniel concluded.
