In a tragic incident in Nellarahalli near Whitefield, a six-year-old girl named Shahajan Khatoon was allegedly killed due to animosity towards her mother. The accused, reportedly upset over a quarrel between Shahjan’s mother and neighbors, is said to have strangled the girl with a rope and disposed of her body in a gutter. The girl’s father, Inzamul Sheikh, had reported her missing after she disappeared from their home.
Police investigations revealed that the victim was last seen with a known person, later identified as a neighbor. Following extensive search operations, the girl’s body was discovered in a bag found in the area. Authorities are actively pursuing leads and have formed special teams to locate the suspect. The post-mortem examination will determine the exact cause of the girl’s death, suspected to be strangulation with a plastic wire.
Locals informed the police that the victim’s mother had a recent altercation with the suspects, indicating a possible motive for the crime. Authorities suspect that the ongoing dispute between the families escalated, leading to the tragic outcome. In a separate incident in Singanahalli village, Tumakuru district, a mother and her two children were found deceased in a water sump. The deceased, identified as Vijayalakshmi, Chetan, and Chaitanya, are believed to have died due to mental distress, with initial investigations pointing towards a possible suicide.
The husband of the deceased woman, Sampath, who works in a private factory, discovered the bodies after returning home to find his family missing. The police are looking into the circumstances surrounding the deaths, with a focus on understanding the events that led to this tragic outcome. While the apparent cause of Vijayalakshmi’s death is linked to mental distress, the deaths of her children have raised additional questions, prompting ongoing investigations.
