Slovakia awarded Prime Minister Narendra Modi with its highest honor, the Order of the White Double Cross (1st Class), during his official visit to the country. This marks the 33rd international honor conferred on PM Modi by a foreign nation. PM Modi expressed gratitude for the honor, dedicating it to the people of India and emphasizing the strong bond between India and Slovakia.
PM Modi and Slovak President Peter Pellegrini admired an art exhibition showcasing Varanasi, PM Modi’s constituency, at the Presidential Palace in Slovakia. The exhibition, themed “Varanasi City,” displayed artworks depicting the spiritual, cultural, and daily life aspects of the ancient Indian city. Slovak artists, inspired by Varanasi’s ambiance and traditions, contributed paintings that highlighted the city’s creative essence.
The leaders praised the artistic representation of Varanasi, underscoring the role of art in connecting India and Slovakia. In preparation for the International Day of Yoga on June 21, a Yoga camp was organized at the Presidential Palace in Slovakia. Slovakian youth participated in Yoga sessions led by PM Modi and President Pellegrini, showcasing the growing cultural ties between the two countries.
