Slovakia President Peter Pellegrini arrived in New Delhi to take part in the AI Impact Summit 2026, focusing on the potential of artificial intelligence. The summit gathers global leaders, policymakers, and tech experts to discuss AI’s impact on economic growth, governance, and social development.
President Pellegrini’s presence is anticipated to boost India-Slovakia collaboration in emerging technologies, research, and innovation. The event, known as a prominent AI forum, will address ethical AI, regulatory frameworks, and the influence of advanced technologies on industries and public services.
The Ministry of External Affairs welcomed President Pellegrini, highlighting the strong diplomatic ties between the two nations. With over 110 countries and 30 international organizations participating, including 20 Heads of State and 45 ministers, the summit is a significant platform for AI governance and cooperation.
The summit aims to harmonize global AI efforts with India’s ethos of “welfare for all, happiness for all” while advocating for AI for Humanity. This edition marks the fourth in the series, following previous meetings in the UK, South Korea, and France, fostering partnerships in digital technology, trade, culture, tourism, and maritime cooperation.
President Pellegrini’s visit is expected to deepen India-Slovakia relations and showcase how diplomacy and technology can address global challenges in the digital era.
