Television star turned politician Smriti Irani recently visited the sacred Baba Vishwanath shrine in Kashi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Irani shared images of her prayers and the temple surroundings on social media, expressing devotion with the caption “Om Namah Parvati Pateh, Har Har Mahadev!!! #kashi #babavishwanath.” Dressed in a maroon saree adorned with traditional motifs, she was seen offering prayers, wearing marigold garlands and a tilak, and bowing down near the Shivling.

Smriti Irani, known for her iconic role as Tulsi Virani in the popular TV show “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi,” has been a prominent figure in the entertainment industry for over 25 years. Her portrayal of Tulsi and on-screen chemistry with Amar Upadhyay garnered immense love from viewers. Irani, who was one of the highest-paid actresses during her time on the show, continues to make time for spiritual visits despite her busy schedule.

Currently appearing in the second season of “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi,” which premiered in August 2025, Smriti Irani’s journey from television stardom to politics remains noteworthy. Her recent visit to the Baba Vishwanath shrine reflects her enduring connection to spiritual practices and traditions.
