Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam shared a touching memory from his 1996 USA tour with legendary singer Asha Bhosle. He recounted how he massaged her feet to help with a painful heel spur she was suffering from during the tour. Sonu, drawing from his mother’s experience with a similar condition, provided relief to Asha Bhosle, who fondly remembered the gesture for years.
Reflecting on their early collaboration, Sonu mentioned performing with Asha Bhosle in Mumbai in 1996. Despite her sore throat, she invited him to sing her iconic song “Jhoothe Naina Bole” together, showcasing her generosity and humility. Sonu also cherished the memories of touring with Asha Bhosle and Amit Kumar in the US, describing those days as unforgettable.
During their time together, Sonu recalled a special moment in Vancouver when Asha Bhosle cooked rice for him, a gesture he considered a stroke of good fortune. The passing of Asha Bhosle on April 12 at the age of 92 deeply saddened the nation, marking the end of a remarkable 83-year legacy.
