The Southern Brave, based in Southampton, have named Hemang Badani as the head coach for their men’s team in The Hundred 2026 season. Badani, a former Indian player, previously coached the Delhi Capitals in the 2026 IPL edition and will be supported by ex-England star Ian Bell as assistant coach. The men’s bowling program will be overseen by former Scotland men’s head coach Shane Burger, with former India international Mohit Sharma providing support.
Former Ireland international John Mooney will serve as the men’s fielding coach, ensuring high standards across all fielding aspects. The coaching team for the women’s side will be led by Jonathan Batty, with Anya Shrubsole as assistant coach and Tharindu Perera in charge of the batting program. Perera, who has coaching experience with Sri Lanka women’s team and various domestic teams, will bring his expertise to the Southern Brave.
Jenny Gunn, a former England international, will join as the women’s fielding coach, focusing on enhancing decision-making and fielding standards. These appointments aim to enrich Southern Brave’s coaching structure with diverse international and domestic experiences for The Hundred 2026 season.
