Specially-abled students from Army Women’s Welfare Association School in Jabalpur had a unique experience interacting with trained military horses. This special equine interaction and therapy session aimed at boosting the students’ confidence and emotional resilience. The children not only fed vegetables to the Army horses but also observed the caretakers’ drills during an inclusive outing.
The session, themed ‘Healing through connection, Strength through compassion,’ focused on the well-being and emotional development of the specially-abled students. Through guided interactions with the horses, the students gained confidence, engaged their senses, and built emotional resilience. The official highlighted the therapeutic benefits of such animal-assisted interventions, emphasizing inclusivity and holistic development.
The Remount and Veterinary Corps, along with NCC units and partner agencies, are actively working towards creating an inclusive and compassionate society. They aim to support holistic development and mental well-being through initiatives like equine interaction and therapy. Additionally, a delegation from the Kenyan Joint Command and Staff College visited the elite Shatrujeet Brigade, where they were briefed on Airborne Operations and modern warfare strategies.
The high-level delegation from Kenya engaged in discussions on the changing nature of warfare, focusing on emerging technologies and adaptive operational strategies. This visit strengthened military ties between the two nations, promoting professional exchanges and mutual learning. Furthermore, a seminar on Indo-Nepal Relations was organized by the headquarters of Central Command in Lucknow, bringing together experts to discuss historical ties and future cooperation pathways.
