At least three individuals, including a minor girl, lost their lives, and four others sustained severe injuries when a speeding vehicle collided with a passenger auto heading towards the Singhu Border on NH-44 in Delhi’s Alipur area. The tragic incident occurred close to Shiv Mandir in Alipur, causing alarm in the vicinity. Upon receiving the news of the collision, police promptly arrived at the scene and transferred the injured passengers to nearby hospitals for urgent medical attention.
The passenger auto, carrying multiple individuals, was struck forcefully by the speeding vehicle, resulting in the fatalities and injuries. Among those who tragically succumbed to their injuries were auto driver Raju Sharma, a minor girl, and an unidentified person. The injured, identified as Mukesh, his wife Pinki, Chotu Pandit, and a minor boy, are currently receiving treatment, with some reported to be in critical condition.
Following the collision, the injured individuals, who suffered severe wounds, were initially admitted to the Satyawadi Raja Harish Chandra Hospital in Delhi before being transferred to the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital for further medical care. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash, including examining the involvement of the speeding vehicle. Legal measures are being taken in accordance with the law, and investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.
The tragic incident resulted in a temporary disruption of traffic flow on the busy NH-44 stretch as emergency response teams and police conducted rescue operations and cleared the damaged vehicles from the roadway. The investigation is currently in progress, with further details awaited.
