Spiritual leader Jagadguru Rambhadracharya has backed Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s recent statements regarding the cow, agreeing that the cow symbolizes a mother figure in Indian society. Rambhadracharya emphasized the need to halt cow slaughter and highlighted the necessity of political backing to enforce such changes.
Adityanath, addressing a gathering in Bijnor, reiterated the sentiment that the cow holds a revered status akin to a mother in Indian culture, emphasizing that this bond requires no formal acknowledgment. He stressed that the cow’s significance as “Gau Mata” is inherent and does not necessitate official recognition.
In response to Adityanath’s remarks, Rambhadracharya commended the Chief Minister’s stance, asserting that the portrayal of the cow as a mother is beyond politics and purely a matter of reverence. He advocated for a cessation of cow slaughter and urged supporters of Hindutva to secure a robust mandate in the future to achieve this goal.
Rambhadracharya, well-versed in constitutional matters, criticized the politicization of the issue, attributing objections to political motives rather than genuine concerns. Expressing confidence in the BJP’s future in Uttar Pradesh, he predicted a resurgence of the party in the state and lauded Adityanath’s governance for fostering positive changes.
