In a social media statement, Krishnan expressed his intention to take a break before returning to address major AI-related challenges in the United States. He described his time in government service as a privilege and an honor to serve under President Donald Trump.
During his tenure, Krishnan was involved in various initiatives, including the development of the American AI Action Plan, advancing AI acceleration partnerships globally, and contributing to the National AI Policy Framework executive order. He also emphasized his efforts in promoting American AI interests internationally through summits and diplomatic engagements.
Looking ahead, Krishnan highlighted the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence, stressing the importance of addressing policy and infrastructure challenges. He expressed his commitment to establishing institutions aimed at tackling these challenges for the benefit of America and its allies.
David Sacks, the White House AI and crypto adviser, praised Krishnan’s contributions to the administration’s AI agenda and confirmed that Krishnan would continue to provide advice from outside the government. Sacks commended Krishnan’s unique skills and expressed gratitude for their collaboration over the past 18 months.
