Ahead of the India vs New Zealand T20 World Cup final, the atmosphere at Narendra Modi Stadium was electrifying with performances by Falguni Pathak, Sukhbir Singh, and Ricky Martin. Falguni Pathak’s ‘Maine Payal Hai Chhankai’ had the crowd grooving, while Sukhbir Singh sang his popular hits, including ‘Oh ho ho,’ joined by the entire stadium.
International sensation Ricky Martin, known for hits like Livin’ la Vida Loca and She Bangs, brought his stadium energy to Ahmedabad. His performance included iconic songs like ‘The Cup of Life (La Copa de la Vida)’ and ‘María,’ captivating the audience, especially the millennials.

New Zealand’s captain, Mitchell Santner, won the toss and opted to bowl first against an unchanged Indian team in the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup final at Narendra Modi Stadium. India aims for a third T20 World Cup title, while New Zealand seeks their first, with the latter having won all matches in this tournament while chasing.
India faces challenges as they have never beaten New Zealand in a Men’s T20 World Cup match, with their recent white-ball losses in Ahmedabad adding pressure. The summit clash promises to be a thrilling encounter.
