The State Vigilance Unit (SVU) in Bihar, as part of its anti-corruption efforts, recently apprehended a Block Welfare Officer-cum-Block Education Officer in Buxar district. The officer, identified as Ekta Bhai alias Lucky, was caught red-handed accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 at his office in Brahmapur block.

Subsequently, a special team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Rita Sinha conducted a successful operation, arresting the accused officer during the act.
The arrested officer is currently under interrogation and will be presented before the Special Vigilance Court in Patna.
