Filmmaker Steven Spielberg has chosen not to collaborate with actor Ben Affleck due to a personal issue. Screenwriter Mike Binder revealed that Spielberg decided against working with Affleck because the actor had upset Spielberg’s son in the past. This led to Spielberg backing out of directing a project involving Affleck, despite initial plans.
Mike Binder shared on a podcast that Spielberg had initially shown interest in working together and even had a project in mind. However, Spielberg changed his mind upon learning about an incident involving Affleck and his son. The filmmaker expressed his disapproval of Affleck’s behavior and decided not to proceed with the collaboration.
According to reports, Spielberg’s decision was influenced by a past incident where Affleck had a conflict with Spielberg’s son during a family vacation. This personal conflict, combined with professional concerns, led Spielberg to opt out of working with Affleck. Despite initial plans, the project involving Affleck was eventually released by a different production company.
