A student preparing for the Class 10 exam was discovered deceased close to a railway track in a Bihar village. The family alleges that the student took her own life as she was not allowed into the exam center due to arriving late. The incident unfolded in Maharajchak village under Masaurhi Police Station’s jurisdiction.
The deceased, identified as Komal Kumari, daughter of Mantu Yadav from Kharjama village, was found near the railway track, causing shock in the area. Komal had gone to the Barni High School exam center in Dhanrua for the Matriculation exam on Tuesday but arrived after the gates were shut at 9.07 a.m.
Despite pleas, she was refused entry, leading to distress. Komal returned home upset, changed clothes, and left, not to return. Her body was discovered near the railway track later that day and identified as Komal Kumari.
Komal’s parents work as daily-wage laborers outside the village, and her grandmother from Maharajchak identified the body after being informed by locals. An investigation is underway based on family statements, with the police conducting a post-mortem examination.
