Filmmaker Subhash Ghai commended Sanjay Dutt for reprising his role in the action crime movie “Khalnayak,” emphasizing the challenge of playing the iconic character of Ballu Balram. Ghai expressed confidence in Dutt’s ability to excel once again in the role.
Sanjay Dutt recently announced the return of “Khalnayak” as a ‘fresh interpretation’ of the original 1993 film, which also featured Madhuri Dixit Nene and Jackie Shroff. Subhash Ghai, who directed the original movie, shared his excitement over Dutt’s comeback in the sequel.
“Khalnayak” also starred Anupam Kher and Rakhee Gulzar, revolving around the story of two police officers, Ram and Ganga, pursuing the escaped criminal Ballu. Sanjay Dutt expressed his long-held desire to revive the film’s legacy, having acquired the rights to the movie.
