Actor and singer Suchitra Krishnamoorthi criticized a netizen who tried to justify Siya Goyal’s actions by claiming she was forced to marry Ketan Agarwal. Suchitra emphasized that cultural differences cannot excuse criminal behavior.
The netizen suggested that if Siya had been in America or Europe, she could have lived with her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, without pressure to marry Ketan. Responding to this, Suchitra stated that if Siya did not want to marry Ketan, she had other options like eloping or taking legal action against her family.
Suchitra condemned the attempt to justify criminal behavior, emphasizing that no culture should support such actions. She highlighted that Siya had alternatives like running away, eloping, or seeking legal recourse if she did not want to marry Ketan.
For those unfamiliar with the case, Ketan tragically passed away after falling during a trek at Lohagad Fort on June 18. Initially considered an accidental fall, further investigation revealed a possible murder plot involving Ketan’s fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary.
Both Siya and Chetan have been arrested by the police, and investigations are ongoing to uncover the truth behind Ketan’s demise.
