Actress and singer Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, known for her role as ‘Anna’ in the 1994 film “Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa,” recently reminisced about her experience on set. Director Kundan Shah once urged her to put in more effort, emphasizing that she was chosen for her resemblance to the character. Krishnamoorthi praised Shah for infusing innocence into each role, attributing the film’s lasting charm to his storytelling.
In a conversation, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi expressed gratitude for being part of a movie that felt natural and relatable. Recalling a moment with Kundan Shah during filming, she shared his advice for her to work harder despite her physical resemblance to the character. The film, featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Naseeruddin Shah in lead roles, continues to be cherished by audiences even after three decades.
“Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa,” produced by Vikram Mehrotra, also starred Deepak Tijori and an ensemble cast in supporting roles. Shah Rukh Khan, who featured in the film, has acquired its rights through his production company, Red Chillies Entertainment.
