The Enforcement Directorate (ED) gathered recommendations through a public outreach campaign marking its 70th anniversary. Suggestions included leveraging AI and Big Data to combat money laundering and establishing a secure whistleblower system. Participants proposed recruiting specialized professionals like CAs, forensic auditors, data scientists, and cybersecurity experts. Additionally, they recommended regular training and technology upgrades for ED officers.
The ED expressed appreciation for the active engagement of citizens in strengthening the fight against financial crimes. The agency highlighted the importance of financial integrity and collective responsibility in safeguarding India’s economic interests. The campaign, conducted on the MyGov platform, featured various interactive activities to educate the public about the ED’s history and functions.
Interactive initiatives included disseminating information about the “Verify Your Summon” facility and organizing an online quiz on the ED’s operations. Furthermore, the campaign introduced a “Pledge on Financial Integrity” and shared key achievements of the Directorate. Citizens were encouraged to provide suggestions for enhancing the organization’s effectiveness.
The “Online Quiz on ED Day” attracted significant participation, with 89,299 views and 13,393 submissions. Notably, individuals aged 18–24 were the most active contributors. The ED plans to award cash prizes to the top 10 participants. Another activity, “Inviting Suggestions on Improvement in the Functioning of ED,” garnered valuable feedback with 2,340 views and 876 citizen submissions.
