Sunetra Pawar officially became the Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister at Mantralaya, expressing her commitment to honor her late husband Ajit Pawar’s values and enhance the state’s capabilities. She emphasized her dedication to serving Maharashtra with integrity and loyalty for its betterment. Accompanied by NCP officials and ministers, Pawar attended her first Cabinet meeting after being sworn in on January 31, overseeing sports, youth welfare, excise, and minority affairs departments.
In an emotional statement, Pawar reflected on her husband’s dedication to Maharashtra’s development and pledged to continue his work ethic and bond with the people. She acknowledged the immense responsibility of her new role and vowed to fulfill Ajit Pawar’s aspirations for farmers, women, youth, and citizens. Visiting significant places like Siddhi Vinayak temple and Chaityabhoomi, she paid respects to key figures, including Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and her late husband, Ajit Pawar.
Expressing gratitude for the public’s trust and support, Pawar reiterated her commitment to upholding her husband’s principles and advancing a just, equal, and prosperous Maharashtra. Despite the sorrow of Ajit Pawar’s passing, she drew strength from his teachings and the people’s encouragement, emphasizing her determination to realize his vision for the state. Pawar’s focus remains on working diligently and honestly to achieve a developed Maharashtra based on equality and justice.
